Having played through the beta, I can confirm that TGP is quite awesmoe: funny, witty, and stylish.  And what’s this?  Yup, I did the “previously on” art, too! :)

Paws is not only one of (if not the most) luscious looking titles we’ve played for the Community Games service to date but it’s also one of the cutest games that we’ve played in the history of all our game playing. It’s quite simply adorable.

Each game type is just massive, massive fun to play. Special moves are easy to pull off and in general, the controls are so wonderfully responsive and just feel right that within moments the game becomes the epitomy of pick up and play. All this in a half finished game? It’s sort of boggling.

Yep, it’s a screenshot from a game in the works with the lovely Lemmy&Binky!  We’re keeping details under our hats for now, so I’ll just say it’s multi-player, and the characters will put a smile on anyone’s face :D  The goal is to have this finished in 2-3 months, so expect more news soon!

My OROW entry Beauties and Beasts has won the 2008 AGS award for Best Short Game! It was honestly a surprise and honour, as there were many quality short games last year. Thanks to all people who voted and played, played without voting, voted randomly without playing, and of course, lovely beta-testers Captain Binky and Nickenstien, AGS-maker Chris Jones, miscellaneous helpers Lemmy101 and Buloght, and The Ventures and DeVotchKa, whose music I stole ;)

Tom Clifton is a just a shy squidget living in the peaceful kingdom of Slimenia, toiling in his uncle’s bookstore while dreaming of a more exciting life… but little does he know a special book delivery to the royal castle will start an adventure he never imagined.

As work progresses I’ll have updates on this as well as any game-related musings that are might be interesting enough for other people to read ;).  Try out the RSS feed on the top-right there! (Really.  I don’t know if it works, so I’d be glad if people let me know ;D)

So now that the old content’s out of the way, what’s this new site about, then?  Mostly my art and game development logs, with the occasional book review (I just can’t seem to give those up, even if they don’t really fit the point of the blog ;)).  While there will be no regular schedule, I’m hoping that updates will be frequent enough that there appears to be one ;)

In more newsy news, I’m currently working on a project that will officially announced in a couple of weeks, and then updates will really begin in earnest!

I hope to change that eventually (more specifically, when I have a handle on php which could quite possibly be never), but for now everything is going to go up as-is!
