By learning where all the muscles and joints are, you can begin to see where they should go even when they ARE behind clothes. I've also heard it said that the human body is so hard to draw that if you can do that, you can draw anything, but I'm not too sure about that ;) I think it’s because when you’re starting out, it’s easier to see the structure of the body when it’s not hiding behind anything. Is it because it's easier to draw clothes over them afterwards? Drawing looks good, I wish I was able to draw something that doesn't resemble a 5 years olds work.
